Born in Montreal on May 31st, 1962 and is the youngest of five siblings.
Lived in Spain, Mexico and the U.S. as a young boy
Parents divorced at age 11 and Corey moved back to Montreal with his Mom and older brother

At 13, Corey sang for Tom Jones and recorded with Paul Anka in Las Vegas
At 14, Corey started to write his own music/lyrics and dreamed of becoming a singer/songwriter and recording artist

At 19, Corey met Billy Joel and worked in Long Island, New York with his band to complete a demo of his first songs

At 20, Corey signed his first recording contract with Aquarius/Capitol records
Recorded first album in Manchester England in the spring of 1982 with producers Jon Astley and Phil Chapman. Eric Clapton lent his guitar stylings to the album.
In November 1983, the album First Offense is released – which led with the hit single “Sunglasses at Night”
In 1984, Corey signed to EMI America and went on to record five albums with them, which attained nine U.S. Billboard Top 40 hits from 1984-1990. The sinlges included “Sunglasses At Night”, “It Ain_t Enough” and “Can_t help falling In Love.” The releases sold over ten million albums worldwide
Grammy, Juno, ADISQ and ASCAP nominations and awards followed
In 1985, Corey was offered the lead role in the blockbuster hit Back To The Future but declined. Also turned down the offer to perform the hit song “Danger Zone” for the film Top Gun
In 1986, Corey achieved Diamond award (one million plus) certification in Canada for his album “Boy in the Box”
In 1986, Corey is recognized as the most popular male artist by a National Canadian survey conducted by Pepsi
In 1986, Corey won the “single of the year” Juno award for anthem hit “Never Surrender,” while he headlined in sold out tours across Canada, the U.S and Japan.
In 1992, Corey signed with Sire/Warner Bros in the U.S and released the commercial disappointment “Attitude and Virtue,” which featured the song “Love and Money” with Terence Trent D_arby
In 1994, Corey produced and wrote several songs for French Canadian singer Julie Masse on her first English album, “Circle of One.” Corey and Julie fell in love and the couple went on to have three beautiful daughters together: India (age 7), Dante (age 4), and River (age 2). They were married in June 2002, on a hilltop in Santa Fe
In 1995, Corey signed with Sony Music Canada and recorded in Los Angeles
In 1996, Corey released his self-titled - Canadian platinum selling – album, which included the three radio hit singles: “Black Cloud Rain,” “Tell Me” and “Third Of June,” and embarked on first Canadian tour in over 10 years
Also in 1996, Corey received the Socan Classic award for 100,000+ airplay in Canada for the songs “Never Surrender,” “It Ain_t Enough” and “Everything In My Heart”
In 1997, Corey wrote and produced two songs - “Miles To Go (Before I Sleep)” and “Where Is The Love” - for Celine Dion’s multi-platinum album Let_s Talk About Love
In 1998, Sony released Corey’s next album Jade, which featured the songs “La-bas” (a duet with his wife Julie Masse) and “Break the Chain”

In 2001, Corey wrote “Prayer” for Celine Dion_s album A New Day Has Come
In 2002, Corey wrote and produced two songs for Quebec singer Garou, which will be on his forthcoming, first international English album. The songs are entitled “10.000 Horses” and “In Your Sweater”
Also in 2002, Corey re-recorded the hit song “Sunglasses At Night” with the group Original 3. It’s an updated record with dance and harder house mix versions available in 2002
In October 2002, VH1 will profile Corey in a special which was shot in Nassau, Bahamas in July 2002
This fall (2002), Corey will headline two concerts with the Montreal Symphony Orchestra; the first on October 30th, and the second will be on November 1st, 2002 at Place Des Arts in Montreal
Currently, Corey has plans underway to record the two shows with the Montreal Symphony Orchestra and release the live concert on CD in early 2003. The album will include three additional new studio tracks.

Also in November 2003, Corey will receive 3 awards from SOCAN, for 100,000 spins at radio for “Sunglasses,” 100,000 spins for “In Your Soul,” and #1 Dance single for “Sunglasses”
In January 2004, Corey and his wife Julie will be welcoming child #4 into the world - congratulations to the Hart family
